SE-5000 is an excellent grease for the lubrication in industries where heavy loads, extreme pressures, and water distress prevail. This product has unmatched natural lubrication properties which offers superior load carrying properties combined with superior anti-wear and EP properties, anti-corrosive capacity, and rust prevention.
Industries and Applications
SE-5000 grease is designed to create a protective "collar" to keep out dust, dirt and contaminants. It is recommended for heavy duty applications where water washout or “pounding out” prevail over traditional EP2 grease. This product is ideal for hot or wet applications including found in paper mills, cement plants, mining or rock crushing, metal foundries, chemical manufacturing, plastics plants, sawmills, wastewater treatment plants and steel.
Environments, Temperature, Weight and Pressure
SE-5000 grease is intended for the lubrication of heavy duty machinery during severe operating conditions, such as:
- High service temperature (600 F dropping point)
- High contamination with metallic oxides, metal foils or hard particles
- Heavy loads (Timken OK Load 70 lbs)
- Extreme pressures (four-ball weld point score of the maximum result, 800 kg.)
- Corrosive environments
- High volumes of water ingress (excellent water washout and spray-off resistance)
Quality Raw Ingredients
SE-5000 grease is made from the highest quality raw materials available. The overbased calcium sulfonate complex thickener used in this product produce amazing resistance against high temperatures and make the grease virtually waterproof. This premium thickened grease utilizes a proprietary blend of ISO 575 base oil and ISO 220 bright stock base oils, which together yield robust and amplified ISO 460 base oil (@ 40 cSt). It has unmatched structural and thermal stability from this new generation grease thickening technology and heavy duty base oil blend.
Environmental Benefits of SE-5000
SE-5000 grease contains no heavy metals or other environmentally undesirable additives; thus it is completely 100% free of antimony, barium, chlorine, copper, graphite, lead, phosphorous, sulfur and zinc. SE-5000 has had excellent success in replacing barium thickened greases. It offers the same or higher performance in steel, mining and drilling sectors while offering significant environmental benefits over its barium (heavy metal) counterpart.
